Entrepreneur and content creator Anshula Kapoor has officially entered a new chapter in her life, marrying her longtime partner, screenwriter-director Rohan Thakkar, on July 6, 2026. The wedding, held at the prestigious Taj Lands End in Mumbai, was a heartfelt, intimate affair that brought together the Kapoor family and close friends for a day of celebration.
The wedding was designed as a meaningful, one-day celebration that blended two different communities, honouring both Punjabi and Gujarati traditions. The bride, Anshula Kapoor, looked resplendent in an embroidered peach and coral lehenga, paired with a shimmering golden-beige dupatta and layered polki jewelry. Her groom, Rohan Thakkar, complemented her in a textured champagne-gold sherwani, topped with a silk turban and a jeweled emerald brooch.
The ceremony included traditional Hindu rituals, with the couple seen sharing joyful moments as they took their pheras around the sacred fire. Following the religious rites, the couple also officially registered their marriage in the presence of their loved ones.
Anshula and Rohan’s journey began in 2022 after they matched on a dating application. What started as late-night conversations over the phone quickly blossomed into a deep, lasting connection. The couple’s bond grew stronger over the years, leading to a magical proposal in July 2025 at New York City’s Central Park.
Anshula later shared that the proposal was deeply sentimental, occurring at exactly 1:15 a.m. IST—the very same time they had their first conversation three years prior. After an engagement in October 2025, the pair finally exchanged vows this week.
The wedding festivities were a true family affair, with siblings Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor standing by Anshula throughout the rituals. Pre-wedding celebrations, including a Mata Ki Chowki, a surprise mehendi planned by her sisters, and a chooda ceremony, set the tone for the joyful event.
In a touching social media post, Anshula shared her joy, writing, “Of all the people. Of all the places. Of all the timing. It was you. And somehow, through every twist, detour, and surprise, it is still you. My favourite conversation. My safest place. My easiest choice. Always you”.
As the couple begins their married life, they are expected to host a “modern Indian” themed cocktail party at the same venue to celebrate with a wider circle of friends and industry colleagues.
