Choreographer Bosco Martis Discharged From Hospital After Health Scare, Shares Recovery Update With Fans

Renowned Bollywood choreographer and entrepreneur Bosco Leslie Martis has been officially discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. The ace dance director, who spent the past week under medical observation following complaints of chest congestion and discomfort, shared an emotional update with his fans on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Before heading home to continue his recovery, Bosco made a heartfelt stop at the Mount Mary Church to offer prayers of gratitude. Taking to Instagram, the choreographer posted, “Just couldn’t head home before visiting Mother and offer a prayer of gratitude. 🙏❤️ Happy to share that I’m discharged, doing well, and recovering. Thank you to my family, friends, my fans, and everyone who kept me in their prayers and reached out with so much love. God bless. ❤️

Bosco Martis was admitted to the hospital on June 27, 2026, after experiencing persistent uneasiness and congestion in his chest. Sources close to the choreographer indicated that the admission was a precautionary measure recommended by his doctors to allow for thorough medical evaluation amid his recent, highly demanding work schedule.

Over the course of his week-long stay, Bosco underwent a comprehensive series of tests and scans. Medical reports have since confirmed that his results are normal, with doctors attributing the episode primarily to hypertension brought on by exhaustion. Following medical clearance, he has been advised to take adequate rest and avoid strenuous activity as part of his recovery process.

Bosco Leslie Martis, born on November 27, 1974, is one of the most influential figures in Indian cinema. Alongside his longtime creative partner Caesar Gonsalves, he formed the legendary choreography duo Bosco-Caesar, a partnership that has defined the rhythm of Bollywood for over two decades.

Bosco and Caesar grew up together in Mumbai, where their shared passion for football and dance laid the foundation for a lifelong friendship. After starting their careers as backup dancers for industry stalwarts like Farah Khan, the duo burst onto the scene with their major breakthrough in the 2000 blockbuster Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, starring Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel. Their innovative style and ability to blend high-energy commercial dance with contemporary flair quickly made them a favourite among filmmakers and superstars alike.

With a career spanning over 75 films and 200 songs, Bosco-Caesar has been the creative force behind some of the most iconic tracks in Hindi cinema, including:

  • “Señorita” (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara)
  • “Chor Bazaari” (Love Aaj Kal)
  • “Ghungroo” (War)
  • “Gallan Goodiyaan” (Dil Dhadakne Do)
  • “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” (Pathaan)

Bosco’s brilliance as a choreographer has been recognized with numerous prestigious honours, including the National Film Award for Best Choreography for “Señorita.” He has also secured multiple Filmfare and IIFA Awards for his work on chartbusters like Love Aaj Kal and 3 Idiots.

In addition to his film work, Bosco Martis has expanded his influence as an entrepreneur and mentor. He established the Bosco Caesar Dance Company, with academies across India and Canada, dedicated to training the next generation of dancers. Furthermore, Bosco has ventured into filmmaking, directing projects such as Rocket Gang, showcasing his creative versatility beyond choreography.

As the industry breathes a sigh of relief following his recovery, fans and colleagues continue to flood his social media with messages of love and support. Bosco is currently recuperating at home and is expected to resume his professional commitments once he has fully regained his strength.
