Popular rapper-singer Badshah and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi have officially announced that they are parting ways. Ending months of mounting public speculation regarding marital discord, the couple issued a joint statement on Monday evening, August 31, confirming their decision to dissolve their relationship.
The announcement brings a definitive close to the chapter, with both artists requesting privacy and asking fans and media outlets to refrain from further speculation.
Taking to his official Instagram Story, Badshah shared the joint statement addressing the split directly. The message emphasized that the decision was arrived at mutually and handled with dignity.
“I and Isha Rikhi have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we request everyone to kindly respect our privacy during this time,” Badshah wrote.
The couple explicitly stated that they do not intend to unpack the personal reasons behind the split in the public eye.
“This will be our only statement on the matter. We sincerely request that there be no further speculation or assumptions regarding our relationship,” the statement concluded.
The formal confirmation follows weeks of intense online speculation that began intensifying earlier this summer. Whispers about trouble in paradise gained traction after Isha Rikhi shared an emotional, candid note on social media in July, hinting at inner turmoil and the challenges of speaking out.
In the reflective post, the actress opened up about enduring silent battles, citing the imbalance she felt when confronting the public stature of her partner:
“There are battles that leave no visible scars. For a long time, I remained silent because I was afraid. I felt overwhelmed by the influence, power, and resources I believed my husband had, and I convinced myself that staying quiet was the safest thing to do,” she wrote at the time.
Clarifying her stance, Isha added that her previous silence should not be misconstrued as acceptance of circumstances:
“Silence was never acceptance. It was survival. Today, I’m choosing courage over fear. I may not be ready to tell the whole story, but I’m finally ready to stop pretending that everything was okay.”
The separation marks the conclusion of Badshah’s second marriage. The artist, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, married Isha Rikhi in a low-key ceremony, though details of their relationship largely remained private until their marriage became public knowledge.
Previously, Badshah was married to Jasmine Masih, with whom he shares a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, before parting ways in 2020.
