Aspirants Season 3 Set for March 13 Release on Prime Video

Aspirants Season 3 Set for March 13 Release on Prime Video

The bells of Old Rajinder Nagar are tolling once again. The Viral Fever (TVF), in collaboration with Prime Video, has officially announced that the third installment of the critically acclaimed series Aspirants will premiere on March 13, 2026.

After the massive success of the first two seasons and the spin-off Sandeep Bhaiya, the show returns to explore the high-stakes world of the UPSC Civil Services Examination and the complex friendships that survive—or crumble—under its pressure. Season 3 promises to delve deeper into the professional challenges and personal reckonings of its central trio.

At the heart of Aspirants is the “Tripod”—the nickname for the three best friends whose lives have become a mirror for millions of Indian students.

Naveen Kasturia reprises his role as Abhilash Sharma, the IAS officer who struggles to balance his bureaucratic responsibilities with his idealistic past. Joining him are Shivankit Singh Parihar as the lovable and philosophical SK, and Abhilash Thapliyal as Guri, whose character arc in Season 2 left fans wanting more of his journey from a struggling aspirant to a resilient entrepreneur.

The chemistry between these three remains the series’ strongest asset. Season 3 reportedly explores their lives as they move further away from their student days and deeper into the realities of adulthood, where “success” is no longer just a rank on a list.

No discussion of Aspirants is complete without Sunny Hinduja, who plays the iconic Sandeep Bhaiya. Hinduja’s portrayal of the “perpetual aspirant” turned mentor has become a cultural touchstone. In Season 3, his role is expected to take a pivotal turn as he navigates his own professional standing alongside his protégés.

The supporting cast also sees the return of:

  • Namita Dubey as Dhairya, whose complicated relationship with Abhilash added a layer of emotional maturity to the previous season.
  • Tengam Celine, who brought a fresh perspective to the competitive environment of Delhi’s coaching hubs.

The biggest buzz surrounding the third season involves the newest addition to the cast: Jatin Goswami. Known for his intense and nuanced performances in Kohrra and The Great Indian Murder, Goswami enters the Aspirants universe in an undisclosed but “pivotal” role.

Insiders suggest that Goswami’s character will serve as a formidable challenge to Abhilash Sharma’s administrative authority. His inclusion signals a shift toward a more political and corporate thriller vibe, while keeping the emotional core of TVF’s storytelling intact.

While the series maintains the signature TVF aesthetic—grounded, relatable, and visually warm—Season 3 sees Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish in the director’s chair. Jagdish, who has a deep understanding of the “aspirant” psyche, aims to bring a fresh directorial lens to the familiar streets of Delhi.

TVF continues to act as the creative powerhouse behind the production, ensuring that the dialogue remains as quotable and the situations as “meme-worthy” as ever.

From a search perspective, Aspirants continues to dominate because it taps into a universal truth of the Indian middle class: the struggle for a better life. The show transcends being just a “UPSC drama”; it is a coming-of-age story for an entire generation.

The “March 13” release date is strategically placed to capture the attention of students and young professionals as the academic and competitive exam season kicks into high gear across India.

As Abhilash faces the consequences of his past decisions and the trio attempts to find their footing in a changing India, Season 3 looks to be the most ambitious yet. Will the “Tripod” survive the new challenges, or will the burden of expectations finally snap the bond? We find out on March 13.
