The highly anticipated trailer launch event for the Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar,’ which was slated for a massive media rollout tomorrow, November 12, has been officially postponed. The film’s production houses, Jio Studios and B62 Studios, shared a statement citing dual reasons for the last-minute decision: respect for the victims of a recent incident in Delhi and sensitivity toward the health concerns of veteran actor Dharmendra.
The spy action thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, was generating massive buzz following the release of striking character posters and is now awaiting a revised date for its crucial trailer debut.
The official note released by the Dhurandhar team highlighted the solemn reasons for the postponement, demonstrating the film industry’s unified response to national tragedy and respect for its living legends.
The statement read: “As a mark of respect to the victims and families of yesterday’s Delhi blasts, the Dhurandhar trailer launch scheduled for tomorrow stands postponed.”
The decision follows an unfortunate incident in Delhi, which has led to a period of official mourning and sensitivity across the country. Simultaneously, the veteran actor Dharmendra remains hospitalized in Mumbai for observation following a viral infection and age-related complications. Although his family has confirmed his condition is stable, the makers chose not to proceed with a grand, celebratory event at this time.
The production team, including producers Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, and Jyoti Deshpande, emphasized their commitment to sharing the revised date soon, thanking the media and fans for their “understanding.”
Dhurandhar has been one of the most talked-about films of 2025, promising a high-stakes espionage thriller reportedly inspired by real covert operations of India’s intelligence agency, RAW. The ensemble cast, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead as a RAW agent, along with Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, had already successfully captured the internet’s attention in the days leading up to the trailer launch.
The postponement comes right after the producers unveiled a series of spectacular character posters, each generating massive traction:
- R. Madhavan as the “Charioteer of Karma”, a role many speculate is inspired by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
- Arjun Rampal as the intense “Angel of Death.”
- Sanjay Dutt as the fierce “The Jinn.”
The film’s title track, ‘Jogi’, which marked rapper Hanumankind’s Bollywood debut, has already become a digital hit, setting a high benchmark for the film’s musical and action quotient.
Despite the postponement of the trailer launch, the film’s theatrical release date remains unchanged for now. Dhurandhar is currently scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on December 5, 2025. The trailer is the final, crucial marketing asset required to propel the film toward this December release date.
Trade analysts believe the launch will likely be rescheduled within the next few days to maintain the film’s strong promotional momentum and ensure adequate time for pre-release marketing activities. The production house’s swift action in postponing the event and citing socially responsible reasons is seen as a mature and commendable decision by the industry.
