Superstar Salman Khan starrer highly anticipated pan-India action collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju has officially locked in a powerful identity. Formerly referred to by its working title SVC63, the big-budget commercial entertainer has reportedly been titled Monster.
The project has been making massive waves across the industry, not only due to its heavyweight star cast featuring Nayanthara opposite Salman for the very first time, but also because of recent behind-the-scenes adjustments made to keep the production moving forward seamlessly.
Following the wrap-up of their initial schedule in Mumbai, the core unit transitioned into an intensive six-week action schedule designed around a massive, recreated Afghanistan backdrop. According to recent reports by Filmfare, the makers have brought on an international Korean action team—led by acclaimed stunt coordinator Sea Young Oh—to design cutting-edge combat sequences.
However, the production faced an unexpected hurdle when Salman’s body double reportedly suffered a heart attack on set. Showing his trademark dedication to his craft and ensuring that the demanding schedule does not lose momentum, Salman Khan has taken a completely hands-on approach, personally stepping up to execute a major share of his own stunt work and intense physical sequences alongside enhanced safety protocols.
Monster marks the maiden creative partnership between Salman Khan, director Vamshi Paidipally, and top-tier Telugu producer Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. Alongside Salman Khan and leading lady Nayanthara, the film’s growing ensemble cast reportedly features Sagarika Ghatge and Muzammil Ibrahim in pivotal roles.
Adding to the massive buzz, singer-composer Vishal Mishra has officially come on board to spearhead the film’s musical album and lend his vocals to the anticipated title track, reuniting with Salman after previous successful musical associations.
The film is mounted on a grand, multi-lingual scale to cater to Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil audiences, blending high-voltage action set-pieces with a strong emotional core. While the makers are yet to issue an official title confirmation, the first look and formal announcement are expected to drop in the coming weeks.
Monster is currently planned for a major theatrical release during Eid 2027, positioning it as one of the biggest festival attractions of the year. If schedules hold, the film will command a massive box-office window, though it joins an increasingly competitive slate.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s separate military drama Maatrubhumi (initially titled Battle of Galwan) continues to navigate production hurdles and clearance considerations following real-world geopolitical shifts and unforeseen casting challenges earlier this year. On the other hand, co-star Nayanthara also remains associated with another major pan-India project through Yash-starrer Toxic, which is scheduled to release on August 26.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic has generated considerable anticipation because of its pairing of Yash with Nayanthara and its ambitious cinematic world.
As production speeds up on Monster, fans can anticipate a high-octane cinematic spectacle when the film arrives in cinemas on Eid 2027.
