Yash starrer ‘Toxic’ Teaser Set for Mega Launch Tomorrow on 20th Feb

The wait for “Rocking Star” Yash’s return to the silver screen is reaching a fever pitch. After dominating the global box office with the KGF franchise, Yash is ready to unleash his next cinematic storm. The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have officially announced that they will unveil the film’s high-octane teaser tomorrow, February 20, 2026, at 9:35 AM.

To amplify the excitement, the production team dropped a striking new poster today, showcasing Yash in a never-before-seen avatar. The visual immediately set social media ablaze, trending under the hashtag #ToxicTeaser within minutes of its release.

The newly released poster offers a chilling look into the atmospheric world created by director Geetu Mohandas. In the visual, Yash stands unshaken amidst a blood-streaked blizzard, his face partially obscured by a hat and the surrounding wreckage. Holding a bottle in his hand, his character, Raya, exudes a sense of gritty, self-destructive defiance.

The imagery suggests that Toxic is moving away from the polished “larger-than-life” heroics of recent blockbusters, opting instead for a raw, stylised, and morally ambiguous universe. This “fairy tale for grown-ups” promises a narrative where power is not merely inherited but violently seized.

One of the biggest talking points of Toxic is its ensemble cast, which brings together top-tier talent from across the Indian film industries. The film features a formidable lineup of leading ladies, each reportedly playing a pivotal role in Raya’s journey through the underworld.

  • Nayanthara: The “Lady Superstar” makes her highly anticipated appearance in this gritty drama.
  • Kiara Advani: Marking her major foray into the Kannada film industry, Advani plays a character named Nadia.
  • Huma Qureshi: Sources suggest Qureshi takes on a complex, perhaps even antagonistic, role.
  • Tara Sutaria: The actress joins the cast in a significant capacity, adding to the film’s pan-Indian appeal.

The cast also includes Rukmini Vasanth and Tovino Thomas, ensuring that Toxic has the acting muscle to match its ambitious production scale.

At the helm of this massive project is Geetu Mohandas, the internationally acclaimed filmmaker known for Moothon and Liar’s Dice. Mohandas, who also co-wrote the script with Yash, brings an auteur’s sensibility to a big-budget action entertainer.

The film is a collaborative effort between Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions and Yash’s own banner, Monster Mind Creations. This partnership ensures that while the film has the backing of a major production house, it also carries the personal creative stamp of the “Rocking Star” himself.

Technical brilliance is a core pillar of Toxic. The music is composed by Ravi Basrur, the man behind the thunderous score of KGF, while the action is choreographed by Hollywood veteran J.J. Perry (John Wick) and the renowned Anbariv duo.

While the makers have remained tight-lipped about the plot, leaked synopses suggest the story is set against the backdrop of Goa between the 1940s and 1970s. It follows the rise of a powerful drug cartel and the criminal syndicates that flourished as colonialism faded. The film explores themes of betrayal, paranoia, and the “inner darkness” that drives a man to build—and potentially destroy—an empire.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. In a bid to reach a global audience, the makers will release the movie in five primary languages: Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Notably, Toxic is set for a direct box office showdown with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge. This clash is expected to be one of the biggest cinematic face-offs of the year, with both films eyeing the lucrative holiday window provided by Ugadi and Eid.

The countdown has officially begun. With the teaser just hours away, the film industry is braced for what many are calling the next evolution of the “Mass Cinema” genre.
