Bollywood Star Govinda Hospitalised in Juhu After Fainting at Home

Govinda admitted to hospital

Bollywood actor Govinda has been admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu after experiencing a sudden health scare at his residence. The 61-year-old star was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Wednesday after he reportedly lost consciousness and complained of a severe headache and heaviness in his head.

His manager, Shashi Sinha, confirmed the admission, stating that the actor is currently undergoing extensive medical tests and is under close observation, with doctors advising a consultation with a neurologist.

The incident occurred late Tuesday night. According to Govinda’s friend and legal advisor, Lalit Bindal, the actor first felt disoriented around 8:30 p.m. and subsequently fell unconscious. After initial medication prescribed over a telephonic consultation failed to alleviate his weakness, he was rushed to CritiCare Hospital around 1 a.m. for emergency care.

Manager Shashi Sinha provided a detailed update on the actor’s condition:

“He had a severe headache and felt heaviness in his head. He also felt dizzy, and because of that, he has been advised to see a neurologist. Doctors are conducting a check-up. He was admitted last night, and the doctor will examine him soon.”

Hospital sources have confirmed that Govinda is stable and conscious, though he remains under observation as the medical team conducts a battery of tests to determine the precise cause of the disorientation and fainting episode. Reports from the neurological consultation are eagerly awaited by the family and fans.

The news of Govinda’s hospitalization immediately spread across social media, where fans and industry colleagues quickly posted messages wishing the “Hero No. 1” a swift and complete recovery.

The actor’s friend, Lalit Bindal, also took to social media to update well-wishers and request prayers: “My dear and respected @govinda_herono1 has been admitted in hospital with complaints of disorientation and unconsciousness. I pray for his speedy recovery.”

This health scare follows a busy week for the actor, who was recently seen visiting veteran actor Dharmendra at Breach Candy Hospital to inquire about his health. While there is no known link between the two events, the back-to-back hospitalizations of two beloved legends have created a somber atmosphere in the film fraternity.

This marks the second time Govinda has required hospitalization within the span of a year. In October 2024, the actor was admitted to the same CritiCare Hospital after he accidentally injured his leg with his licensed revolver. The weapon reportedly misfired while he was cleaning it, leading to a bullet wound below his knee. The actor underwent an hour-long surgery to safely remove the bullet and spent a few days recovering before being discharged.

Known for his unmatched comic timing, energetic dance performances, and vibrant filmography, Govinda has starred in numerous iconic hits including Coolie No. 1, Raja Babu, and Partner. His continued presence in the public eye, even as he steps back from continuous film work, ensures that his health updates attract massive national attention.

The family and the hospital team promise further updates once the neurological reports are analysed, but for now, the focus remains on ensuring the celebrated actor receives the necessary rest and medical attention.
