‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun On The Run’ to Release on Feb 6, 2026

The doorbell is ringing, and this time, it’s not just for the neighbors! In a historic move for Indian television, one of the country’s most beloved sitcoms is officially transitioning to the silver screen. Zee Studios, in collaboration with Sanjay Kohli and Binaiferr Kohli, has announced that the feature film Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun On The Run will release in theaters nationwide on February 6, 2026.

For over a decade, the quirky residents of Modern Colony have dominated living room conversations. Now, the iconic banter between the Tiwaris and the Mishras is set to explode into a full-scale cinematic adventure, promising bigger gags, higher stakes, and the same “Sahi Pakde Hain” energy that fans adore.

The film reunites the legendary core cast that made the show a household name. Aasif Sheikh returns as the charmingly unemployed Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, while Rohitashv Gour reprises his role as the “Kaccha-Baniyaan” king, Manmohan Tiwari. Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi) and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabhi) bring their signature flair to the big screen, ensuring the essence of the show remains intact.

However, the “Fun” in Fun On The Run gets a massive boost with a stellar lineup of guest stars and new characters:

  • Ravi Kishan: The powerhouse performer joins the madness in a pivotal role that promises to blend his signature style with the show’s unique comedy.
  • Mukesh Tiwari: Known for his impeccable comic timing (who can forget Vasooli Bhai?), Tiwari adds another layer of hilarity to the mix.
  • Nirahua (Dinesh Lal Yadav): Bringing some Bhojpuri superstardom to the ensemble.
  • The Supporting Legends: Favourites like Yogesh Tripathi (Happu Singh) and Vaibhav Mathur (Tika) are set to ensure the chaos is distributed equally.

While the show has run for thousands of episodes, the film was crafted with a different kind of intensity. Directed by Shank Bali—the creative mastermind behind the TV show’s success—the movie was reportedly shot in a record-breaking 20 days.

The production team moved the madness from the sets in Mumbai to the scenic, chilly locales of Dehradun and Mussoorie. According to lead actress Shubhangi Atre, the shoot was a “whirlwind of laughter and freezing temperatures,” with the team jokingly suggesting they should be in the Guinness World Records for completing a full-length feature film with such efficiency.

From an industry perspective, this is a bold experiment. While shows like Khichdi have successfully made the jump to film, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! is doing so while still being a top-rated airing show. Zee Studios is leveraging a decade of brand loyalty to draw families back into theaters for a “community viewing” experience.

The title Fun On The Run suggests a “road trip” or “chase” element, moving the characters out of their comfort zones in Kanpur and into the wild. Expect the classic rivalry between Vibhu and Tiwari to take on a larger-than-life dimension. Director Shashank Bali has hinted that while the characters remain the same, the “treatment, scale, and cinematic language” will be entirely fresh for the big-screen audience.

Whether it’s Vibhuti’s failed attempts to impress Angoori or Tiwari’s greedy schemes, the film is poised to be the ultimate family entertainer of early 2026.

As the countdown to February 6 begins, the buzz is undeniable. One thing is certain: the neighbours aren’t just at home anymore; they’re taking over the cinemas!
