In a beautiful family gathering that celebrated new beginnings, Anshula Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late Mona Shourie Kapoor, officially exchanged rings with her long-time beau, screenwriter Rohan Thakkar, on October 2. The couple marked their engagement with a traditional Gujarati ‘Gor Dhana’ ceremony in Mumbai, uniting the entire Kapoor clan for the joyous occasion. The intimate function saw Boney Kapoor, brother Arjun Kapoor, and sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor actively participate, signalling a heartfelt new chapter for the family.
Anshula Kapoor, who recently made her mark on the reality show The Traitors, shared dreamy pictures from the ceremony on her social media, captioning the post with an emotional note. She beautifully described the event, saying, “This wasn’t just our Gor Dhana, it was love showing up in every little detail.” Rohan Thakkar’s favourite words, “always and forever,” have now started to feel real for the couple.
The bride-to-be glowed in a stunning purple bandhani lehenga, while Rohan perfectly complemented her in a dark blue sherwani. The ceremony saw Anshula not only celebrate her future but also honour her late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, reserving a seat for her and placing a framed photograph of her mother nearby—a deeply touching gesture that brought tears to the eyes of her siblings.

The couple’s love story, which Anshula previously revealed, began after they met on a dating app. Their first conversation, which started at a specific time in the early hours of the morning, was referenced beautifully during their July proposal in New York City’s Central Park, where Rohan intentionally proposed at the exact same time (India time), years later. Anshula described the moment as “magic,” confirming she said “yes” to her best friend.
The engagement ceremony on October 2 officially kicks off the wedding celebrations, with reports suggesting the couple plans to tie the knot in December 2025.
