In a bold and rare box office maneuver, the makers of the comedy sequel Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 (KKPK 2) starring Kapil Sharma have announced a theatrical re-release. After initially hitting screens on December 12, 2025, the film is now gearing up for a fresh start on January 9, 2026.
The decision comes after the film’s initial run was cut short by the unprecedented “box office wrath” of the action juggernaut Dhurandhar. Recognizing that their wholesome family entertainer deserves a fairer shot at the spotlight, the producers are opting for a “reset” to reach a broader audience that might have missed the chaos in the December rush.

“We believe in the content of KKPK 2,” a representative from the production house stated. “The December window was incredibly crowded. By moving to January 9th, we are giving Kapil’s fans and family audiences a dedicated space to enjoy the film without the surrounding noise.”
The sequel brings back Kapil Sharma in his most comfortable element: a man caught in a web of hilarious romantic entanglements. However, the stakes and the laughs are significantly higher this time around.
