Rumours regarding the postponement of Prabhas’ highly anticipated pan-India action drama Spirit have been officially put to rest. Speculation ran wild across social media suggesting that the makers might push back the theatrical arrival to make room for another major festival release. However, a T-Series spokesperson has stepped forward to clear the air, confirming that there is absolutely no change to the original release schedule.
Directed by blockbuster filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Spirit is firmly on track to hit the big screen worldwide on March 5, 2027. The clarification comes as a major relief to millions of fans eagerly awaiting the explosive collaboration between the star and the director.
The rumour mill went into overdrive ever since superstar Salman Khan announced his return to his favourite box office window, Eid, in 2027 with his maiden collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally, tentatively titled SVC63. Because both high-profile films targeted overlapping windows, industry gossip claimed that Spirit would vacate its date to avoid a cinematic collision.
Sashing these reports entirely, a T-Series spokesperson told Zoom, “We are very much on track with the release of Spirit. The film is slated to release on March 5, 2027, and there is absolutely no change to the announced release date. We are working as per schedule and are gearing up to bring the film to audiences worldwide on March 5, 2027.”
Spirit marks the maiden creative partnership between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who previously commanded massive box office records with Animal. The project has generated immense momentum ever since its striking first-look poster was unveiled at midnight on January 1, 2026. The raw New Year’s Day drop featured Prabhas in a rugged, battle-scarred avatar with long hair and an intense presence, alongside Triptii Dimri lighting his cigarette—a visual tone that immediately sent expectations soaring.
Alongside Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, the film features seasoned actor Vivek Oberoi in a prominent role. T-Series head Bhushan Kumar is backing the mammoth project, ensuring it is mounted on a grand, international scale.
With the makers of Spirit holding their ground on the March 5, 2027 release date, the stage is officially set for one of the biggest box office showdowns in modern Indian cinema history.
On the opposing side, Salman Khan and Vamshi Paidipally’s high-octane action drama SVC63—backed by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations—is targeting a festive release for Eid 2027. The film also stars Nayanthara opposite Salman for the very first time, alongside a stellar supporting ensemble including Abhimanyu Singh.
As production progresses at a brisk pace for both camps, audiences can look forward to an unforgettable cinematic season packed with top-tier star power, high-octane drama, and massive theatrical spectacles.
