In an exclusive interaction with The Hollywood Reporter India, Khan opened up about stepping back in front of the camera, describing his comeback project as a mature, “grown-up romantic comedy” that aligns seamlessly with his current phase of life.
Speculation surrounding Imran Khan’s return to cinema has swirled across social media for years, especially following his sporadic public appearances and candid acknowledgments of life after acting. Putting all rumours to rest, the actor revealed that he has already wrapped up shooting for the film.
Sharing details about the project, Khan expressed:
“I have just finished shooting a new movie. It’s my first movie in 10 years and we’re in post-production right now. It’s called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It’s for Netflix and is scheduled to come out end of this year. It’s a grown-up romantic comedy… age-appropriate to where I am now.”
The film marks Imran Khan’s first silver-screen release since the 2015 romantic drama Katti Batti, directed by Nikkhil Advani and co-starring Kangana Ranaut. Since then, the actor had taken a deliberate step back from mainstream cinema to focus on his personal life and fatherhood.
